ふむ。gcc はきちんと入っているようですね。
では、以下のようになりますか?

$ as --version
GNU assembler 2.12.90 20020706
Copyright 2002 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
This program is free software; you may redistribute it under the terms of
the GNU General Public License. This program has absolutely no warranty.
This assembler was configured for a target of `i686-pc-cygwin'.

$ ld --version

どちらかが command not found になるようでしたら、
binutils のインストールに失敗しています。
